ubuntu thunderbird with enigmail – error

Problem :

After the installation of thunderbird, opengpg does not work, complained about “Enigmail: Enigmime service not available”

Solution :

  1. shutdown thunderbird
  2. apt-get clean
  3. apt-get remove enigmail mozilla-thunderbird-enigmail
  4. apt-get install mozilla-thunderbird-enigmail

Viola!
